3 things to include in your Seen profile tagline

If an employer sees what they need in your tagline, they’re more likely to look at your full profile. Here are a few things you should always include to grab their attention.

1. Professional branding
The number one indicator of a great tagline is clear professional branding. Give yourself a title that describes the type of work you want to do in your next role. It’s okay to show personality but keep it professional.

“Lead software engineer passionate about writing maintainable and table code that strengthens security for end-user products.”

“Skilled UI/UX designer with 5+ years of experience. Team leader and people person who always puts the client first.”

2. Relevant tech skills
List the skills you know best that are most relevant to the job you’re looking for.

“Extensive development experience in designing web-based applications with expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Java and Angular.”

“Full-stack architect at Indeed (JS, C++, AWS, Java, JavaScript); MS in computer science from UT Austin.”

3. Experience with leading companies
If you’ve worked for a big-name company, add it to your tagline. If you’re a new grad or don’t have experience at a major company, include your university in the tagline instead.

“Software Engineer at Indeed skilled in front-end frameworks and AWS; developed automated integration tests.”

“UX/UI designer interested in joining a collaborative team at an energetic company; BS in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin.”
