What’s your background? Career aspirations?
I am an ASP.NET developer with a progressive experience of 4 years. I always wanted to be a data scientist and wanted to build projects based on machine learning.
What triggered your job search? What drew you to Seen?
I have always been a technical reader and explored new technologies. So I found how interesting data science become after the advent of big data and started learning about it. But the job search is much more difficult than the learning. A lot of effort got wasted in manually filling the job applications every time, and there is no guarantee that the employer will get in touch. In the process I came across Seen through a suggestion and created a profile with all relevant details and requirements.
How did Seen by Indeed ease your job search?
With Seen, there is no need for applying for the job by filling out 6-page forms. Once I uploaded my profile using my resume, employers who found my profile interesting got in touch with me. Seen made sure I was contacted by the employer by scheduling an appointment. I didn’t find this service in any other job portal online.
What excites you most about your new role?
I am very excited about my next role as I will be working with big data and it’s tools. I consider this as my first step towards the Data Scientist path.
Tips for fellow tech job seekers?
Even if you have a great profile or a resume, it will be difficult to get a job unless you showcase your skills and portfolio. Job marketing is as important as learning skills.
