What’s your background? Career aspirations?
My background is as a senior front-end developer with a fair amount of e-commerce/finance experience at various startups/corporate organizations.
What triggered your job search? What drew you to Seen?
My contract ended for a freelance position, but I wanted something more permanent and something more senior in the front-end developer role.
How did Seen ease your job search?
The visibility seemed a lot higher on Seen than other platforms. I got more hits on it than Hired. I believe because of it I was able to find the right company.
What excites you most about your new role?
There are a lot of fairly sharp front-end developers/designers there and a lot of cutting edge tools and technologies that I haven’t had a chance to use for web. There also seems to be a lot of opportunity for promotion/advancement.
Tips for fellow tech job seekers?
Persevere a fair amount. Sometimes great candidates are passed over because there are a lot of them. Make yourself look good, but don’t tell lies. Keep yourself sharp.
