What’s your background? Career aspirations?

I originally went to school to study business, but after a week in an intro CS course, I fell in love with coding and completely changed courses. Honestly, I just want to code and help others code.

What triggered your job search? What drew you to Seen?

I wasn’t coding as much as I’d have liked and my team was completely remote. I wanted to find something challenging that I could work on with a team. Initially, I just started applying to places on LinkedIn and Indeed, but I was getting few replies and an abundance of spam. I saw Seen (and I’d heard about it through friends), so I decided to give a try. It’s free, so the worst that could happen was a little more spam.

How did Seen ease your job search?

Not only did I start getting targeted interview requests almost immediately, but Seen offers free career search advising. I immediately signed up for a couple of time slots and received some actionable feedback on how to succeed with Seen (and my job search in general).

What excites you most about your new role?

I’m excited to be working with a small group on interesting problems using the latest and greatest technologies and tools. I’m also excited to finally be able to use public transportation.

Tips for fellow tech job seekers?

Get onto Seen, meet with an advisor, and get yourself a job. Easy as that!
