While studying chemical engineering at Virginia Tech, I did undergraduate research in computational modeling. I became interested in software, and upon graduation landed a role as a bioinformatics software developer.
What triggered your job search? What drew you to Seen?
I wanted to gain better industry exposure in my earlier career, and sought to land a role at a medium to large technology company.
How did Seen ease your job search?
I found Seen very easy to use. I think the required response times with penalty of deactivation discourage ghosting on both sides, which is common in recruiting.
What excites you most about your new role?
The opportunity to participate as a software engineer in a large company that’s making a strong pivot towards technology.
Tips for fellow tech job seekers?
Reduce and distill your resume. A detailed but cumbersome resume can be a detriment during recruiting.
