What’s your background? Career aspirations?
Most of my education was in mathematics, but I shifted towards software over time because I like to create. I’ve worked at startups and large companies during my career. My aspiration is to learn and to help the people around me and the world at large using technology, communication and any other skills I can develop.
What triggered your job search? What drew you to Seen?
I left my previous job because I felt stagnant there, and I wanted to work on something more meaningful. It was difficult to find a product I wanted to contribute to, a role that matched my technical interests and team that drew me all in one place. I decided to try Seen because it seemed like a way to simplify my process. If companies were contacting me, it increased the odds that I would at least match what they were looking for.
How did Seen ease your job search?
It was by far the best method of job searching I’ve experienced. I got to shop legitimate leads, rather than taking flyers at jobs that I could never be sure would even read my application. Letting the companies come to me was unique; everything felt more meaningful.
What excites you most about your new role?
Getting the opportunity to make an impact so early on in the life of a product that might make a positive difference in the lives of people all over the world.
Tips for fellow tech job seekers?
Don’t give up your hunt. Don’t settle for positions that won’t push you. Don’t settle for products that don’t interest you.
