What’s your background? Career aspirations?
I did my Master’s in Computer Science at University of North Carolina at Charlotte and then started working as an AWS DevOps Engineer. I have deep interest in AWS and I enjoy building CI/CD pipelines, thereby helping software teams deploy their code successfully onto production servers. I’d also like to hone my skills in DevOps area, needed for building environments that are highly scalable and fault tolerant.
What triggered your job search? What drew you to Seen?
Over 2 years, I was working as a DevOps Engineer (associate level) at a small IT company and wanted to move to a bigger organization where there is great learning and good growth. So I started looking for opportunities at relatively larger companies. I applied for jobs on various job boards, career sites, etc. I felt that it was time consuming to traditionally search for opportunities, then go through the entire process of filling the lengthy applications, and then wait for that call from a recruiter. It’s even more challenging when you’re working. One day when I was having a conversation with my friend regarding job opportunities and the struggles in job search, he suggested trying Seen. He explained me how it works and I immediately joined Seen without any second thought.
How did Seen ease your job search?
The core idea of Seen is what interested me to join. Soon after my profile was live and made available to recruiters I started getting interview requests from companies. The list of companies included a few top tech ones which were on my dream list. It was really a time saving process and the team at Seen is extremely helpful in following up with the company in case there is a delay. In fact, I’ve landed getting an offer from one of my dream companies. The entire process was smooth, swift and extremely helpful!
What excites you most about your new role?
I am very much excited to be a part of company which is doing amazing tech work. I will be working as a DevOps Engineer, doing CI/CD stuff and working in different cloud environments. The most interesting work in this role would be working around automating processes for faster and efficient software rollouts.
