Drive product strategy as part of a wider Investment Operations Product management team. The team are accountable for defining our global post trade product strategy, identifying commercial opportunities, and guiding our Investment Operations product offering through the entire product lifecycle. We increase the Aladdin value proposition for our clients and increase revenue opportunity for the firm. Sitting at the intersection of business and technology, the Investment Operations Product Management team works closely with Aladdin developers and stakeholders to innovate, conceptualize, design and implement post trade capabilities to solve client problems. By communicating up and down the organization, Product Managers are responsible for advocating and influencing partner teams to build buy-in on product vision to create a market-leading product.

Within the Investment Operations product management team, the Derivatives Product Manager contributes to the derivative offering strategy, design and development for cross-organizational strategic initiatives. The role provides leadership in the derivatives, collateral and bank loan data and service definition, alignment and execution of a technology strategy in collaboration with internal business, industry and clients to support integrated solutions.



Key responsibilities:
Build a leading system for Listed and OTC derivatives and structured products across all asset classes
Define derivatives data necessary to develop internal canonical data model
Define and champion the Investment Operations product roadmap
Identify product gaps and / or commercial opportunities
Create alignment amongst internal and external stakeholders
Lead product team to create tangible prototypes that show business benefits
Define and own the product story – both short and long-term approaches
Partner with developers through the development process, including support, planning and coordination of release process ; incorporate user feedback
Influence the transition approach from current technology architecture and new technology architecture as it relates to derivatives.
Engage with stakeholders for detailed business requirements
Work with Relationship Management and Product Marketing to define deployment strategy

Knowledge/ Experience required:
5+ years industry experience
Demonstrated prior experience and in-depth knowledge of derivative instruments (Listed and OTC), derivative operational processes and derivative related industry & regulatory initiatives
Understanding of Derivative structuring, data, Trader Workflow, Execution Management, Order Management beneficial
Capable of identifying impediments across work streams and work collaboratively with other functional areas to resolve
Knowledge of trade process life cycle with regards to investment management processes
Understanding of post trade Industry ecosystem, vendors, competitors & providers
Exposure to business processes such as confirmation, settlements, reconciliations, collateral/margin management, corporate actions, mortgage processing and payments
Knowledge of industry messaging standards such as FIX, SWIFT and FpML
Strong organizational, problem-solving and planning skills, including the ability to multitask.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations
Ability to work and deliver results independently, self-starter
Ability to lead cross functional large scale projects
Effectively act on feedback, user testing results and learning to direct a product that delivers more value for the user and business
