Our team is full of talented individuals who make their voices heard and put their stamp on every project. We are looking to add to this with someone who is not just looking for a simple 9-5, but a second home that allows their passions to shine through and impact every piece of work we do.

We pride ourselves in engineering expertise, creative flair and problem-solving. You will not only be working on a range of eCommerce websites and UGC marketing projects for national and global brands, but also developing exciting and innovative internal projects designed to push the limits of our teams imagination abilities.

We have a unique approach to selling our services that involves becoming part of our clients businesses and treating them as our own. Their budgets are our budgets, their time is our time and their success is our success.

If you have an entrepreneurial spark are inquisitive and innovative with a drive to deliver outstanding work then Rixxo is the place for you.

In Detail
You will join a growing department of digital innovators and professionals. As a back end developer you will be responsible for server-side web application logic, collaborating with the front-end team to integrate with the work they do and basic server maintenance.

Rixxo are experts in online audience engagement with a commercial focus. Our work covers digital marketing campaigns, highly engaging websites and eCommerce builds, and you will be working across both types of project. We are looking for creative flair as well as solid engineering skills, combined to deliver really exciting, innovative and accessible experiences. Our mission is to change the way that audiences are engaged in an increasingly digital world, and deliver better experiences, every time, on time and in budget.

We expect strong knowledge of PHP & MySQL and as you will be integrating with the front-end team, a basic understating of HTML, CSS and JS would be required. We would like to see experience of WordPress, and the Magento 1 & 2 frameworks, but these are nice to haves. If you have solid PHP you’ll pick them up, and we will provide training on those platforms. More nice to haves would be strong knowledge of native Javascript, its application in Node.JS and experience of Linux/Unix systems in particular Ubuntu.

Part of this role will be getting involved in the consulting periods with clients and leading them to success. The ability to explain what you do and how well you do it to non-technical people will set you apart from the crowd.

From time to time you will project manage the team around you as a project lead within your team. This gives us a deeper understanding of our own processes and allows us to learn, find opportunities for improvement and continue to streamline the process in which we enjoy working, rather than being dictated to by a process that does not work. We are certainly focused on the destination more than the journey.

About Rixxo
Rixxo creates user-generated content campaigns, websites, eCommerce sites and other interesting and curious apps to entice audiences to interact with brands. We deliver on time and in budget.

We have grown our agency like many from two guys starting in a frontroom to operating at a global level with brands and businesses of all sizes. It’s more about what problems we are solving than who we are solving them for. Yes we have some glamours names but we want to create a workspace for people to thrive, grow and make their own destiny. You may start with us as an Office Manager but who knows where you will end up.

About You (As A Person)
We want the skills listed below but we also looking for someone who works well in a team. Communication skills are vital as you will be one of the main points of contact with our clients. We expect you to be sensitive to the demands of project specification and budget, making recommendations appropriate to both.

We operate a highly collaborative, open management style, so we are looking for a new member of the team who can bring ideas, life experience and a wealth of interests to our projects. We want to see a bit of hinterland. You should be up to date on the latest UX and UI thinking and the web technologies that underpin it.
