POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join the accesso Ticketing Group’s Technical Services team, which serves as the backbone of accesso’s enterprise ticketing platforms consisting of over 20 applications such as ticket sales, access control, and reporting. This position will work alongside a team of cloud and software engineers to maintain and operate multiple hosted environments in AWS to ensure security, scalability, and stability within our application infrastructure. While there are aspects of general server administration in this role such as troubleshooting, systems monitoring, backups, logs, performance enhancements, and deployment automation, our goal is to keep you challenged and at the forefront of this cloud transformation as we work towards best practices.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Maintain uptime, availability, and security of Linux production and non-production servers across 7 data centers globally;
Run deployments of large projects to support mission critical applications in our cloud SaaS solutions;
Integrate and automate platform support and maintenance activities utilizing CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Ansible, CFT, etc.;
Develop, maintain, and analyze automation processes and tooling for our AWS environment;
Collaborate and communicate. Within the organization, you will draft and communicate maintenance plans to the rest of the organization, develop and influence tools used, and standardize processes that empower accesso’s engineering teams to ensure effective and efficient operations. Externally to clients and vendors, you may serve as an escalation point on the Technical Services team and as a SME on accesso platforms and processes.

YOUR BACKGROUND

At least 5 years of Linux server administration experience in large, multi-site operations (CLI administration and configuration - no GUI);
You can read, write, and modify Bash scripts;
You understand the importance of and have implemented infrastructure and application security;
Strong proficiency in version control systems, build automation, DevOps, and CI/CD tools and frameworks;
We’re not looking for you to have architected any major cloud infrastructure. But you should be familiar enough with the design and deployment of enterprise-level systems in the cloud. AWS is what we use, however any cloud platform is acceptable;
You’re familiar with containerization and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation and Terraform

BONUS POINTS

You possess and/or are in process to become AWS certified.
Experience writing Ansible scripts.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

This position will report directly to the Director of Technical Services for accesso’s Ticketing Group.
Eligibility to work in the United States is required.
This position is based in Lake Mary, Florida.
