What you will do

JCI is embarking on a global cloud computing transformation effort. We are looking for Cloud Network Engineer(s) who will serve as a key member of the Network Services team and will design and support the JCi next generation global network.The network services team encompasses everything involved with supporting a cloud computing delivery model, which includes the delivery of the global network required to access and manage the cloud environment(s).



How you will do it

The Cloud Network Engineer must be able to build strong relationships across the cloud infrastructure team and partner community to ensure that the solutions delivered meet the required business value while also acting as the technical authority and escalation point for all cloud network issues

Serving as a key member of the Network Services team supporting the cloud transformation program.

Participate in the design and vetting of best in breed Cloud network infrastructure spanning a global presence and 24x7 production environment.

Partner with corporate teams supporting the migration effort from the current on premise compute environment to the new cloud-first delivery model

Providing expertise for all aspects of Cloud and Software Defined based network design including but not limited to local area networks (switches, routers and peripherals), Global WAN interconnectivity (SDN, SDWAN, MPLS, WAF, etc.) and cloud first initiatives (Microsoft Azure, Google GCP, Private Cloud Data centers etc.)

Drive an Automation first and Dev-ops strategy to enable network automation.

Consulting with other members of the cloud architecture team and functional departments to identify and remediate risk, legacy systems, and improve process and procedures which support the transition efforts and future business needs.

What we look for

3+ years cloud networking experience and working in a DevOps environment

Knowledge of networking infrastructure suppliers and service offerings including; Cisco, F5 Networks, Zscaler,

Strong DevOPS skillset in integrating Cloud and SDN technologies

Working understanding of code and scripting (Automation tools: Python, PowerShell, Rest API)

Experience with IoT, Cellular Transport, and Wireless Security.

Working knowledge of industry leading network management suites which may be used as part of the management of the next generation JCi network.

Develop and continually improve processes to ensure speed, quality, and zero unplanned downtime.

Manage assigned projects to deliver services in accordance with established objectives and technical requirements in a timely and responsive manner

Solid Microsoft Azure foundation including operational experience with regards to IaaS, PaaS

Common cyber security best practices with regards to LAN/WAN/WAF/ firewalling, intrusion prevention, and response.

Education

Bachelor's degree required

Cisco Certification(s) would be a distinct advantage

Microsoft Cloud Certification would be an advantage

Network Security certification would be an advantage
