The Opportunity

The Data Architect leads all cloud-based data infrastructure and reconciles the architecture of data flow, and APIs with the needs of other teams in the organization. This role is critical to developing scalable solutions as part of a rapidly growing team involving multiple products.

The Role

• Provide insight into the data migration and utilization requirements for the company and offer suggestions for solutions
• Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
• Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.
• Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming.
• Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
• Install and organize information systems to guarantee company functionality.
• Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams.
• Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting and integrating new features.
• Mentor team members through training and individual support.
• Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.
• Help maintain the integrity and security of the company's database

Who are you?

Qualifications (Must haves)

• 4+ years’ experience working on and building internal APIs and enforcing data contracts
• Hands on experience in the field of data migration and integration.
• Experience integrating GCP services into large-scale production applications.
• Hands on experience with multiple databases including MongoDB, SQL and column-based databases.
• Fluent in object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Scala, etc.
• 2+ years’ design/implementation/consulting experience building cloud solutions using GCP.
• Other skills required: Docker, Kubernetes and Linux.

Nice to Haves

• BigData experience
• Knowledge of Single Page Applications and RESTful applications
• Professional experience in software development in C#
• Knowledge of Machine Learning Platforms and algorithms is a plus
