We are seeking a highly motivated technology leader to drive Front End Software Development capability to deliver outstanding and sustainable results for customers across the businesses units. This role will join a growing talented Software Development team in Brooklyn focused on applying transformation to digital product technology and life-cycle practices to the company overall. The Digital organization engages with teams across the global enterprise and as such, the candidate will be skilled in working with customers as well as collaborating across peer design, product, data, and ops teams.

Key Responsibilities and Account-abilities:
•Work with the Head of Software Development to set strategy for delivering UI across end-user touch-points (web, mobile, wearables)
•Grow, nurture, shape the Front-End development team
•Define the technologies, standards and processes of the practice areas within Front End development (Web, Mobile)
•Coordinate Front End team’s capabilities with peers in Software Development (Back End, Tech Ops, Software Quality, Architecture)
•Collaborate with leaders in Design, Product, Data Science
•Critical to our mission, work closely with Cyber Security and International Trade Compliance to build in security and regulatory compliance to our work.
•Partner with Operations in Brooklyn to allocate staffing for project work
•Support ongoing demonstrations of team’s work to audiences including CDOs and Digital Leads for each business
•Ongoing exploration of viable and innovative ways to deliver value through UI
•Co-lead product definition, vision and road mapping in close collaboration with peer discipline leads in Engineering, Design and Data Science.
•Collaborate with internal team and business stakeholders on how new or evolved products and services will better support customer needs and evolve.
•Collaborate to ensure product features and concepts are applicable across internal businesses.
•Champion Digital Acceleration. Influence the way we work in order to uncover new sources of growth for customers and businesses, working in coordination with Design and Architecture
•12+ years’ experience overall, 7+ years building and leading a team of developers in delivering user-facing software
•7+ years of hands-on expertise in delivering across UI touch-points through use of component systems and frameworks.
•Solid understanding of UI technology enablers from client-side hardware and software to networking, cloud and back end systems.
•Fluency in modern API design, preferred fluency in cloud-native architecture.
•Fundamentals in ensuring security and quality in software.
•Strong foundations in user experience and design principles.
•Ability to communicate confidently and concisely to both technologists and non-technologists; ability to translate the vision/strategy into clear priorities and direction
•Ability to develop strong partnerships across functions to drive measurable operational results.
•Exceptional interpersonal, managerial and organizational skills; ability to work with and influence all levels of management.
•Ability to excel in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment with high degree of accountability.
•Challenge the teams to achieve continuous improvement around process, development methodologies, quality assurance automation and coverage and overall efficiency supported by the appropriate metrics.
•Software engineering depth and leadership: Demonstrate thought leadership and vision in the creation and delivery of platforms, ideally in a data-intensive B2B technology organization, where products are built for scale. Takes ownership for dependent technologies and services, representing the overall technology to the customer
•Build talent: A first-hand, intimate knowledge of the New York & East Coast technology landscape. Has proven experience hiring and building software engineering teams in the local area. Strong in attracting, retaining and nurturing talent, developing careers and creating succession.
•Global: Strong understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity. Has ample experience in global organizations and understands how they operate.
•Creativity and innovation: Continuously maintain an innovative mindset whilst operating with a set of defined internal and external communication processes. Challenge the teams to achieve continuous improvement around process, development methodologies, quality assurance automation and coverage and overall efficiency supported by the appropriate metrics.

•Delivery: Ability to understand the business and practices of a global organization and to deliver to demands in an agile way that meets customer demands. Accountable to ensure technology is aligned with product architecture both existing and future strategy
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: (market analysis, requirements definition, competitive analysis, etc.)
•Strong team player with experience of working with virtual teams from different functions/regions
•Highly collaborative with proven ability to quickly establish trust and credibility; demonstrates confidence to navigate the matrix and identify key stakeholders and their respective needs
