This position serves on a team of PeopleSoft subject matter experts working on the implementation and post go-live support of the PeopleSoft North American Payroll module. This person will work closely with EITS, Payroll and our implementation partner during the implementation. The role is to assist in guiding the end-users from the design phase through the configuration and testing of the new system. . Post go-live this position will then provide post production support, assist with knowledge transfer activities and help ensure an overall smooth transition process to the new ERP. This role will also provide internal customers (Finance) with the best possible solutions to utilize PeopleSoft, roll out new functionality, identify potential process improvements, troubleshoot problems and provide user support. Responsibilities

Work with ERP Implementation Partner to gather business requirements, perform fit/gap analysis, and develop functional specifications for data conversions and customizations.
Provide functional support and configuration expertise to the Payroll team, including: basic setup, tax setup, garnishment setup, with ability to troubleshoot issues related to payroll processing, G/L interfaces and tax reporting.
Advise the project team on best practices related to configuration and setup of the payroll system.
Assist with the gathering of business requirements performing fit/gap analysis, and developing functional specifications for data conversions and customizations.
Participate in conference room pilots and balancing of parallel payroll tests.
Involved in all testing phases and issue resolution for the project – including integration with Human Resource and General Ledger modules.
Knowledge of full cycle payroll processing in PeopleSoft version 9.0 or higher
Partner with Payroll personnel to support business operations and satisfy user inquiries, resolve issues and support applications.
Modify or develop new queries and reports in PeopleSoft as needed.
Assist in the implementation, testing and integration with Time and Attendance.
Collaborate with peers and customers to deliver solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field of study; and
2. Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems and applications.
Operations Specialty requires supervisory experience (5 years).
Network Services requires a telecommunications background and experience.
3. Broad knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of computers, peripheral devices, communications systems and hardware capabilities, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and retrieval techniques; or
4. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience.

Department Preferences
A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Human Resources, or a related field of study; and
Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems and applications. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an ERP PeopleSoft Payroll functional analyst and/or super user.
Successfully completed and/or involved in at least one full life-cycle PeopleSoft Payroll implementation and/or upgrade. Recent Oracle PeopleSoft Payroll, v9.0 experience required, v9.2 desired.
Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM Enterprise application to include module expertise in Payroll.
PeopleSoft Time and Labor and Absence Management experience a plus.
Solid understanding of the entire Payroll processes, underlying configuration tables, transaction tables, year-end processes and reporting.
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Application Engines, Component Interfaces and PeopleSoft query management.
Understanding of Benefits components within Payroll (i.e. Benefit deductions) and G/L interfaces.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with ability to identify problems and determine corrective actions.
Effective collaboration and communication skills as well as an ability to handle multiple assignments in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
Ability to prioritize work and promptly resolve or escalate when necessary
Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio etc.).
