HR Technology Analyst
This position translates HR process/business requirements into functional specifications and collaborates with peers in the Information Systems (IS) department to configure, maintain, and support HR systems, applications, and reporting. This includes configuring, testing, and deploying new Lawson Infor modules as well as other 3rd party commercial off the shelf solutions. The incumbent is viewed as a subject matter expert for assigned HR processes and technical solutions. He or she is also responsible for ensuring on-going data quality. He or she will also exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
•Subject Matter Expert. Serves as HR Technology functional team subject matter expert, providing expertise in HR and Payroll processes, HR system components/configuration, and HR inter-process integration.
•Solution Delivery. Consults with HR and Payroll process owners to understand the business case for change, recommends process improvements, documents scope and objectives for proposed projects, and works with process owners and IS to design, test and implement solutions.
•System Maintenance. Supports system upgrades and patches by performing fit/gap and impact analyses, planning and executing configuration changes, preparing test scripts, performing unit, system integration, and user acceptance testing, and implementing changes into production.
•System Operations. Develops and maintains procedures to ensure consistent use and maintenance of the systems.
•Solution Support. Investigates and analyzes system non-conformance and performance issues; works in close partnership with process owners, IS, and 3rd party partners to recommend, test, and deploy remedies.
•Data Management. Facilitates accurate and timely entry and maintenance of employee data, including but not limited to defining specifications for uploading mass changes into the system; makes recommendations on structure and system changes to improve processes and data integrity.
•Interfacing. Executes processes and for auditing and troubleshooting interfaces between Lawson Talent Management (LTM), Lawson S3, and 3rd party partners and applications.
•Reporting. Creates and maintains ad hoc and standard report specifications for HR and Payroll; delivers ad hoc reports directly to the business; collaborates with IS to implement new standard, recurring reports.
•Time Management. Supports project execution by monitoring project plan(s), planning personal tasks, reporting status proactively and consistently meeting deadlines.
•Domain Expertise. Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS and with current applications, including but not limited to attending webinars, training, user groups, and relevant vendor sponsored events.
•Performs related duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications Include:
•Formal Education: Bachelor's degree in majoring in computer science, human resources or business; candidates with an Associate degree and relevant prior Lawson Infor experience will also be considered.
•Prior HRIS Experience. At least two years of experience in an HRIS role supporting HR and Payroll applications, preferably utilizing Lawson Infor (e.g., Lawson Talent Management, S3 Payroll, and S3 Absence Management).
•Solution Delivery Experience. Demonstrated experience in large-scale ERP systems, including configuration, maintenance, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support.
•Lawson Infor Experience. At least one year of recent experience with Lawson Infor's HRM Suite of modules, including configuration, table maintenance, testing, and reporting.
•Functional Knowledge. Strong functional knowledge of HR and Payroll solutions, practices, procedures, and trends.
•Interpersonal Skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills, including experience presenting technical information and explaining computer-related concepts and instructions to a wide range of audiences.
•Systems Thinking. Excellent problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
•Flexible Work Styles. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, both with minimal supervision; possesses a strong detail orientation but also comfortable working in the abstract.
•Ability to Multitask. Effective at managing multiple tasks and projects, including an ability to respond to changing demands, priorities, procedures, and technology often under conditions of ambiguity.
•Microsoft Office. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, etc.), including experience with advanced functionality in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, string manipulation, etc.).
•Basic knowledge/understanding of SQL programming language, Visual Basic, and other data management/reporting skills.
•Professional HR Certification (e.g., PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP).
•Professional Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP).
•Prior experience working in an Agile environment.
