This role provides support for real time specific applications for the business unit. The primary responsibility is to provide operational model maintenance and support of Entergy’s DMS/OMS system..
Primary Duties & Areas of Responsibility:
Provide operations support, ensuring production systems and devices are online and available.
Perform the Model Management process to update the network operations model
Identify and make changes required in the Model Manager Configuration
Use the Substation Editor tool to convert SCADA displays into Substation internal models containing network topology and equipment parameters not found in GIS models
Support effort to identify GIS Adapter model deficiencies and recommend QA/QC routines to support team
Review Validation messages and correct errors as needed
Frequently review GIS, SCADA, Customer, and Crew datasets
Perform periodic maintenance related to modeling datasets and secure missing data elements
Assist the Engineers with troubleshooting errors during model update process
Effectively communicate technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing
Provide an interface with software vendors for discussion, consultation, problem solving and best upgrade practices on the 3rd party systems
Provide project and vendor oversight and facilitate communications with other internal organizations including, but not limited to compliance, security, legal and procurement
Conduct business analytical studies to integrate business needs into system wide development plans to ensure the System Business Unit needs are met
Analyze user processes and requirements to identify, design and implement process improvements
Participate in the team 24 hour on-call rotation
4+ years’ experience of relevant technology delivery with Subject Matter Expertise for Distribution or Operations Technology
Strong track record of relevant technology delivery
Design, development and testing of real time systems applications and enhancements
Strong understanding of client business needs and objectives

Critical Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to work in a fast pace and dynamic environment, including work outside of normal business hours
Ability to support real-time systems
Knowledge of the operation of the electric power and/or distribution systems
Ability to support cyber security activities such as, system hardening, patch management, and configuration management
Ability to support of fraud and computer forensics research
Highly motivated and ability to work with direct supervision
Effective Teamwork and Inclusion (e.g. works collaboratively, builds collaborative relationships)
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to act as a lead or technical expert
Minimum Educational Background and Physical Requirements Required to perform Job:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical degree or Equivalent Experience
