The Application Developer who will be responsible for the design, development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting of business applications in support of the business functions. The candidate will work closely with the Sr. Manager of Business Systems, Consultants and the user community to develop requirements and then design the specifications to meet these requirements. In addition, will be responsible for documentation related to the development efforts. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Business Systems.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Analyze requirements, functional design, and architectural design documents to determine coding needed from generalized business and functional requirements
Creating design and analysis documentation such as Master Technical Designs, Database Designs, User Interface Designs, Functional Designs and Technical Detail Designs
Participate in defining project strategy and estimates work, project plans and implementation strategies for Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, and Enhancements (RICE)
Work collaboratively with consultants, implementation managers and BU resources to develop, test, implement products, troubleshooting and issue resolution
Interact with business stakeholders and end users across JDE E1 ERP Suite Provide end-user support for JDE business applications
Proficient in writing and debugging code
Translate program functional specifications into technical specifications.
Collaborates with the IT infrastructure support team to diagnose, root cause and implement corrective actions for issues
Agile and flexible to accommodate changes in business
Provides appropriate training to staff as needed
Proactive, results oriented, delivers tasks and projects on time
Works with energy and enthusiasm; shows a passion for the business and/or role
Must create a positive work environment. Must handle stress well
Performs other directly related appropriate duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.
Experience in JD Edwards ERP 9.0 or later
Familiarity with the development life cycle and its implementation
Excellent hands on knowledge on Event Rules
Expert level understanding of EnterpriseOne project promotion, package builds and deployments.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Must be knowledgeable in principles of Change Management
Experience with JDE modules – Sales, Finance (AP, AR, FA and GA), Inventory, Procurement, Shop Floor Control, Product Data Management, and Quality Management.
Extensive experience using the EnterpriseOne programming toolset including Forms Design(all or most Form types), Report Design(All Report types), BI Publisher, Table Conversion, JDE C Business Functions/ NER and Z-File Processing.
High skill level in with Event Rule and C Business Function Debugging to investigate and fix technical issues.
Good working knowledge of Data Dictionary, UDC Table, Vocabulary Overrides, Table Design, Business View Design, Data Structure Design, Cross Reference Utility and E1 Scheduler.
Additional preferred Skills – BI Publisher, UPK, EDI, Business Services, Insight Report, Data migration
Good working knowledge of SQL on the IBM iSeries. T-SQL would be a plus.
Working experience of Implementation, Upgrade and Support Projects. Preferably within internal corporate IT team
Must be a hands-on individual, able to multi-task, able to train quickly on new technologies and assume various positions on the project teams. Dual functional / technical skills in an individual are a plus.
Excellent listening, writing, verbal, facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, presentation and teamwork skills
Strong understanding of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne foundation
Experience with a variety of relational database Servers is preferred - DB2
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business related field; equivalent education
5-7 years of JD Edwards Enterprise One Developer experience
Good knowledge of MS Office products (word, excel, ppt, visio, etc.)
