The Network Administrator is assigned to a team that is responsible for the support for the entire computing environment including hardware procurement and deployment, tier 3 system support, project management of deployment and rehab projects, and assigned monitoring and management responsibilities. The role is a member of the IT shared services team that supports a portfolio of privately held companies.
Essential Job Functions:
Provides support for existing Active Directory infrastructure deployments
Experience with Group Policy management and group policy design
Uses Powershell to automate processes and changes in the environment as required
Designs, deploys, and troubleshoots VMWare ESX servers as required
Follows and updates process documentation as needed
Manages projects related to deployment of new servers and Active Directory changes
Documents configuration and monitors various aspects of server infrastructure via Solarwinds
Supports ServiceDesk in resolving escalated tickets requiring specific technical knowledge
Provides Tier 3 server troubleshooting and support, including on-call rotation, after-hours support
One or BOTH certifications are required:
MCSA Windows Server 2012+
VMware VCP - DCV
In absense of one certification, will accept minimum 10+ years experience
