Prime is currently seeking a Senior Network Administrator with a passion to provide a highly secure and available network environment while providing excellent customer service to our associates.


Install, configure and maintain network components, including but not limited to switches, routers, wireless, VPN and firewall devices at local and remote locations;
Optimize the network infrastructure to maintain the highest possible level of performance and security;
Conducts appropriate, routine tests to ensure the proper working condition and security of developed and purchased software/hardware;
Coordinates and schedules installation of new equipment or relocation of equipment;
Maintains an up-to-date technical and practical knowledge and understanding of system testing, analysis and best practices;
Monitor network performance and resources, proactively increasing network uptime;
Maintain IP scheme and manage DHCP scopes and DNS records;
Perform troubleshooting to diagnose network issues utilizing network tools;
Act as an escalation point for other support teams and participate in the on-call rotation;
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging tools and network technologies;
Enterprise WAN Networking through VPN, MPLS, and SD-WAN;
Plan for the replacement of obsolete resources that make up the enterprise network infrastructure;
Participate in IT projects as assigned.


Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.


Requires a firm understanding of TCP/IP networks, WAN/SD-WAN technologies, WLAN, VOIP, routing protocols, network requirements and capacity planning. Advanced knowledge of routing and routing protocols, specifically BGP, OSPF and EIGRP. Thorough knowledge of firewall technology and network security.


Motivated and team oriented professional. Forward thinking and ability to adapt to evolving technology. Good troubleshooting and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and willing to work extended hours or weekend if needed. Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.

Experience, Education, and Training

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in Information Technology or related field is preferred; minimum 5 years of combined experience with routers, switches, and firewalls in an enterprise environment. Experience with Firewall policies and rule sets to include Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls. Experience with VMware ESXi virtualization preferred.

Physical Requirements

This position requires being able to sit and remain focused and motivated for long periods of time. Being able to multitask between the computer, phone, and different projects is required.

Working Environment

Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general office environment. Occasional travel to other offices.


Current professional industry certifications preferred (CCNA, PCNSE).
