Sentry is seeking an IT professional to join our team as a Platform Administrator within our Client team. Our team supports 5000+ client systems comprised of physical and virtual Windows systems along with a catalog of 700+ software applications. The ideal candidate will be a customer service oriented individual with a strong fundamental understanding of a variety of system technologies.
In this role, you will:
• Participate in the administration of 5000+ client systems comprised of physical and virtual Windows systems along with a catalog of 700+ software applications
• Assist with software delivery to a range of desktop and mobile devices for IT operational areas
• Provide general input on appropriate Active Directory Group Policy for securing and configuring Windows clients and applications
• Assist with improvement of current client configuration management and automation capabilities
• Employ various utilities for desktop monitoring and management, and user experience management
What it Takes:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology Management or related discipline
•Experience with administration of:◦Client/Server or operating systems
◦Windows client systems and user experience
◦Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
◦Script/programming experience using VBscript and PowerShell is beneficial
•Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis. This will include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
•Strong technical, analytical and communication skills
•Knowledge of insurance industry standards is beneficial
