The Principal Mobility Engineer is responsible working with vendors on future state strategy of mobile technology at MetLife. Will be accountable for investigating new and emerging mobile technologies to support the advancement of corporate business objectives. Works with the other Engineering teams to facilitate the growth of mobile capabilities within MetLife. Will create and publish internal technology papers, participating in the selection, planning, and implementation of mobile technologies. Works with the customer and business partners to define the approach and scope of mobile projects and provides engineering expertise to all levels of the global organization as needed.
Expand current technologies and implement Enterprise Mobility Management, Mobile Threat and other mobile solutions for MetLife
Establish collaborative working relationships with the businesses, partners, and regions to ensure that mobile solutions align with MetLife’s security architecture and business strategy
Provide mobile consulting services internally to the Engineering organization by giving guidance and functioning as a mobile technology expert
Handle high severity impacting issues and provide guidance to operations/vendor teams responding to these issues
Work with MetLife and vendor teams to select, plan and implement mobile technologies
Collaborate with other Engineering groups to ensure that computing infrastructures such as network and server environments are capable of supporting the mobility demand
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
8+ years of expert knowledge of mobile operating systems, Enterprise Mobile Management, and mobile communications technologies or similar experience
7+ years of experience with MobileIron, and similar products, as well as iOS and/or Android clients
5+ years in a senior mobility engineering position related to IT within a large mobile enterprise environment
5+ years of experience with mobility deployments or similar large-scale deployments
Ability to develop productive relationships with client and management, staff and vendors
Excellent communication and analytical skills, inclusive of written, verbal and listening
Customer service orientation and strong teamwork
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related discipline)
Expertise with Android Enterprise, MobileIron, MDM, EMM, UEM, InTune, certifications related to mobility
Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange E-Mail systems, Active Directory InTune (Enterprise Mobility Suite), Android Enterprise, DevOps
Experience with application development for mobile environments
