Nasdaq is looking for a Product Manager - Data Access, Visualization, and Analytics to join our team in New York. You will be part of North American Market Services. North American Market Services provides compelling marketplaces solutions that bring buyers and sellers together in an open and transparent environment across all asset classes. Nasdaq is continuously revolutionizing markets and transforming while we adopt new technologies to develop innovative solutions, constantly aiming to rewrite tomorrow. To stay competitive for the future, we are initiating a transformation of our data products suite in North America leveraging the Nasdaq Financial Framework suite of applications, adoption of public cloud infrastructure.
Analytics & Product Management (80%):
Lead and drive the development and roadmap for Market Services data product suite – including reporting, dashboards and visualizations
Identify the needs of customers and market participants through research, stakeholder collaboration, and analysis of data
Work directly with business stakeholders and team members to identify opportunities for new business intelligence products or new features for existing products to drive sales growth and effectiveness
Write detailed business requirements and iterate with technology
Run ideation sessions with users to collaboratively generate requirements and feature sets for immediate production or backlog
Create and maintain a suite of user-friendly, best in class products, dashboards, and tools to meet user needs and drive change in the sales organization
Identify the needs of customers through user research, stakeholder collaboration, and analysis of data
Look across the current data and analytics toolset to assess areas of overlap and recommend areas for consolidation and a business plan for improvement
Collaborate with teammates to drive and/or support advanced analysis and modeling projects to uncover sales growth or effectiveness opportunities
Manage sprints and ensure roadmap delivery
Communication & Leadership (20%):
Work as a conduit between the sales, business and engineering teams to help move the product suite forward
Serve as the main point of contact between business and technology for any data-driven requests and projects
Develops and participates in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents on analytics results and solutions
Interacts with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information
Represent the needs of North American Market Services in budgeting processes
Work with sales teams to ensure the effectiveness and adoption of external facing products
The Best-Suited Candidate:
BA or BS degree, plus 2-4 years related work experience
Innovative self-starter, desire to learn and attention to details
To be successful in this role, you should be comfortable in a leadership position and energized by working in a mission critical environment. You have excellent problem solving are highly structured and thorough in your work, with a willingness to frequently step outside your comfort zone. This role will require you to navigate a complex matrixed environment and work closely with development teams while managing other key stakeholder relationships.
Financial markets experience desired, but not a requirement
Experience with Tableau and/or Pentaho; strong working knowledge of other data analytics and visualization tools such as SQL, R, Data analysis, SaaS, BI tools is a plus
Proven ability to design reports that cut through noise and deliver clear summaries to stakeholders
Able to handle ambiguity and make decisions with uncertain or little data
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and change direction quickly
Able to communicate effectively in a global environment and present findings with confidence, backed up by data and research
Insatiable curiosity with an ability to effectively develop creative solutions
