Lead Program of projects, as part of business process modernization project for a $1B+ book of business for a educational services provided in the United States
Accountable for project execution consistent with defined success metrics
Partner with Sponsor and Product owner to understand business drivers and impact, risks and opportunities, and defined success metrics associated with the project
Define project scope and develop project plans, deliverables, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports
Refine the business case (including cost estimates and benefits) in conjunction with project sponsor and product management
Define, organize, guide, coordinate, monitor and execute the work effort to deliver new products, services and methods to internal business customers within defined constraints for time, cost, quality/scope
Manage and ensure the quality of project delivery processes including project scope management using a standard project management methodology (e.g., PMI)
Track project/program metrics and realization of project benefits in collaboration with project team
Conduct projects in compliance with the standard project life cycle and project management standards (e.g., peer reviews)
Ensure formal project stage gate objectives are met and required approvals are obtained before project moves to the next stage
Close the project, evaluate project success, document lessons learned, start up benefits management and release the project resources.
Manage risks, issues and change management plans
Establish a communication plan as well as a project RACI
Manage comprehensive written and verbal project communications including the creation and dissemination of weekly status reports and ad hoc communications as defined by the communications plan agreed upon with the Project Sponsor and Owner.
Provide coaching and mentoring to peers and colleagues
Hold and run regular project meetings (e.g., kick-off meeting, weekly status)
Manage report on the overall project budget with inputs from the IT project manager, domain manager, resource manager and financial analyst
