Determine designs of GPS receivers and systems to meet government certification requirements for PPS GPS approval while meeting customer and internal requirements. Participate in efforts to implement approaches to meet government security and certification requirements for GPS receivers and systems. Perform project specific ISSO duties. Ensure the project is meeting Risk Management Framework requirements for national security computing environments as defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology 800-Series, Committee on National Security Systems Instructions, Intelligence Community Directives, and Joint Special Access Programs Implementation Guidance.

Responsibilities
Determine the designs and implementation of GPS receiver and related system.
Assist in the development and maintenance of system security plans, contingency plans and change management.
Participate in risk assessments to evaluate the sensitivity of GPS receiver and processing system and development mitigations.
Participate in assessment of GPS receiver and processing system safeguards in support of GPS certification.
Provides technical expertise and oversight to security protection measures on the GPS receiver and processing systems.
Design and implement non-standard key handling (COMSEC) approaches.
Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field. Minimum of three years experience in computer program or system design to meet customer needs/requirements. Information assurance experience in Windows / Linux systems. Experience developing and implementing information assurance policy. Applicant must have strong communication skills, be willing to work with new technologies, be highly organized and capable of planning and coordinating multiple tasks and managing their time. The position will require attention to detail, effective problem solving skills and excellent judgment. Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision and effectively communicate. Able to accept supervision. Regular and punctual attendance.

U.S. citizenship. Selected applicant is subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at level appropriate to project requirements of the position.

Preferred Qualifications
Five or more years of experience computer program or system design. Experience in GPS receiver or GPS processing system design. Experience in information assurance in a national security computing environment. Experience with the Risk Management Framework methodology. Windows Operating System and Linux Operating System certifications. Experience conducting security evaluations and developing mitigations. Successful completion of CI polygraph. Advanced degree. GPA of 3.0 or higher. Eligibility for immediate access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position. Salary Range
$82,000-$129,996+/negotiable depending on qualifications.
