Description

Designs and develops new IT technical solutions/capabilities to solve large, complex business problems and deliver new capabilities. Responsible for technical planning, designing, development and modification of new solution specifications and application. This includes technical design of content structure, user/process flows and interfaces. Proficient in information technology, platforms and architecture. Manages large information technology vendors in the technical aspects of designing and developing IT solutions.

* Leads development of high impact and/or long-range strategic solutions and/or initiatives, including development of broad architectural strategies

This person is the key solution architect for all Order Fulfilment, Supply Chain and Compliance/Quality applications and processes, such as: manufacturing (discrete and process), production planning, direct procurement, quality management, warehouse management, logistics, environmental health and safety, etc.

Relationship Management: Develops and maintains relationships with senior leaders and executives in the organization. Understands key business strategies and serves as a chief advisor regarding IT technology and solutions.

Planning: Plays a lead role in the development of IT roadmaps and plans. Presents to executive teams, adjusting content and delivery to the audience, as required.

Technology: Keeps abreast of the latest developments in technology and solutions provided by product vendors.

Partner Management: Manages consulting partners in the investigation of technology alternatives and delivery of solutions.

External Perspective: Maintains a strong external perspective about how other leading edge companies are solving similar problems and challenges.

Project Management: Manages or oversees the delivery of key IT programs and initiatives.

Organizational Capability: Helps to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, contributing to the development of others. Participate in the assessment and development of capability for internal and external teams.

Requirements
IT Technology knowledge: Demonstrated functional proficiency with the SAP MM, PP, PM, QM, APO, EHS and other related modules. Deep knowledge and experience in Purchasing, Inventory Management, MRP, ATP, Production Planning, Reach and RoHS, and GxP compliance. Expert in design, configuration, testing, and debugging of SAP order fulfillment, supply chain, and quality modules. Solid understanding of the integration points between these modules and other parts of the SAP business application landscape, such as Sales & Distribution, Finance, Controlling, and middleware. Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies to meet the changing needs of the business. Experience across multiple ERP/CRM platforms preferred. Experience integrating SAP platforms and components with non-SAP platforms and third-party tools.

Mergers and Acquisitions: Proven track record of successful mergers and acquisition projects. Deep experience and strong methodology in fit/gap analysis, business transformation, management of change, and all that is involved in acquisition integration projects.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate complex and sometimes conflicting business goals and objectives into IT strategies and plans, demonstrating good judgment and financial acumen.

Leadership: Ability to establish a clear vision and direction for the organization. Demonstrates courage to make difficult decisions; ability to align an organization and drive for results. Communicates and actively models the development of appropriate technical and leadership capabilities at all levels in the organization. A key differentiator will be candidates with experience leading people in complex, outsourced, global environments.

Results Orientation: A passion for defining key success criteria and achieving breakthrough results; demonstrated ability to drive a strategy and making the necessary course corrections if necessary. .

Global Experience: Extensive experience working as part of a global, virtual team in a multinational company. Experience working abroad preferred.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters degree preferred. Overall work experience 10-12+ years in IT or related technology domain with 5+ years of strong leadership experience.
