At QVC, the Mobile application development team works with the newest technologies to create applications for Android and iOS products that ultimately provide the best experience for their customers. As a key member of Global Development team, the Senior Developer will have the opportunity to contribute significantly in defining and developing the next generation Android platform and best practices for the mobile division. This goes beyond strong development skills, this Senior Developer will have visibility and the power to effect change within toolset selection, define the release strategy, and give this group an identity within the greater IT organization.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership to a fast-paced and dynamic development team.
•Evaluate, improve, and contribute to the design framework established by the team to define and promote standards and best practices.
•Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to architect, design, develop, test, and ship innovative features for our mobile customers
•Provide input related to the technical design of new applications/systems and architecture. Contribute to proof-of-concept and feasibility analysis.
•Interface with business analysts, project managers, and clients to clarify requirements, as appropriate.
•Perform code review and provide mentorship to other team members.
•Troubleshoots applications problems independently.
•Be a proponent of Scrum/Agile methodology, adopting interactive approach to support frequent release of high-quality features.

Professional Experience / Qualifications

•Typical candidates will possess 5+ years of professional software development experience.
•3+ years of iOS Native application development experience.
•A Bachelors in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience.
•Extensive knowledge and deep understanding of iOS SDK and release process to the App Store.
•Excellent working knowledge of object oriented programming
•Experience and working knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
•Experience in the full mobile development life cycle
•Experience in using private or public API to integrate with mobile applications
•Working experience in Adobe Experience Manager and/or Android SDK is a plus
