2+ years of working in an Agile/Scrum experience preferred.
Experience with shared Java development on/offshore preferred.

Proficient with Enterprise Integration Patterns, Service-based Architectures, and Message-based Architectures preferred.
2 years’ experience as a technical lead preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Hands on experience with Java and Spring preferred.
Experience with web technologies that include SOAP, XML, JSON, REST, XSLT preferred.
Experience with UI Technologies that include Angular, React, Swing preferred.
Experience with Spring Integration, JMS, Akka, Kafka preferred.
Experience with Build/tooling experience like Stash, Git, Nexus, Jenkins, Gradle, Groovy, YML preferred.
Experience with Cloud technologies – AWS Migration preferred.
Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB preferred.
Airline or travel industry experience preferred.
DevOps knowledge of areas such as monitoring, scripting, and metrics preferred.
Preferred Skills (skills that would be beneficial but are not required):
Experience with an Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, preferably Atlassian Jira
Job Responsibilities & Expectations of Employee (i.e., on-call/pager, shift work, extended hours, travel expectations):
Limited to no travel required
On-call support, Command Center (go-live) shift support, possible extended hours around releases are all required
Works collaboratively on an agile Team with other developers, business analysts, testers, technical / solution architect and scrum masters
Develops technical solutions to business problems and works collaboratively with the business to determine how best to implement new requests.
Develops, maintains dynamic object oriented application code
Designs, develops, and unit tests product extensions, interfaces, applications and data integration modules for reliability, scalability, manageability, performance and re-use.
Creates design documents supporting the agile development processes.
Contributes to reduction of technical debt through code refactoring, re-architecture & design.
Participates in the overall solution testing as needed.
Acts as subject matter expert on areas of the application and provides support as necessary.
Continuously learns new skills and share / apply new leanings with the rest of the Team.
Identifies opportunities to simplify application and break new requests into minimal working parts.
Demonstrates flexibility and ability to work with a globally distributed team.

Crew Team is a highly integrated team of 12 to 15 development Pods. The current team has both onshore and offshore development Pods and contains a mixture of employees, contractors, and managed/professional services resources.
The Crew Team is served by two Solution Architects and one Enterprise Architect
The Team currently contains a solid core group of individuals who have Southwest, Airline and Technical Development experience. Experienced resources will be expected to share their knowledge as efficiently/effectively as possible
