Thales Defense & Security, Inc. is currently seeking an experience Quality Engineer to work in our Aurora, IL facility.

•Manage System Quality Assurance processes related to the Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) Dev-Level 3 requirements for Projects in development.
•Audit projects against the CMMI and AS9100 requirements and report to Management.
•Provide Project Quality Assurance support for Requirements definition and traceability at the Systems Engineering level and product development life cycle.
•Provide interface between Purchasing, Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing departments during transition of new products from the design phase to the production phase.
•Support Program Quality Assurance activities for development programs to include First Article in accordance with AS9102, MRB, CCB, FRB, and Work Product review and approval.
•Manage high-priority tasks of multiple projects simultaneously in development.
•Develop Inspection Plans and processes for Receiving and Prototype Inspection activities.
•Ability to follow and comply with all Company policies, procedures and guidelines including the Compliance Policy Manual and the Code of Ethics.
•U.S. Citizenship required
•Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Security Clearance
•BS in Engineering discipline or equivalent/related technical degree.
•5+ years of Quality Engineering experience.
•Knowledgeable in requirements of AS9100, AS9102, and CMMI
•Proficient in ASME / ANSI Y14.5 with demonstrated ability to read mechanical drawings.
•Demonstrated knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies, IPC standards as well as familiarity with schematics and RF Test equipment.
•Knowledgeable in elements of Software Quality Assurance, automated MRP systems, Cause / Corrective Action systems.
•Excellent English communication skills – written and oral. English fluency required.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
•Proficiency in Minitab
•Ability to travel approximately 10% of time.
