We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing R&D team. We are also currently engaged in a major initiative to build our next generation API platform, utilizing the most cutting-edge tools and technologies.

What You Will Be Doing

Working on Internet scale applications, where performance, reliability and scalability, are critical design goals – not after-thoughts.
Learning the nuts and bolts of Microservices Architecture, Serverless, and building robust RESTful APIs.
Creating beautiful, interactive and easy-to-use web applications using modern client-side frameworks and libraries.
Gaining experience with different database technologies, ranging from traditional relational to the latest NoSQL products such as Couchbase and Elastic Search.
What You Need For This Position

The prerequisites for joining our development team are simple. We care more about your attitude and aptitude than the specific tools and technologies you have used in the past. You need to have a strong passion for software development and must take pride in your coding. You should also have great analytical skills and ability to handle complex, modular software development in a collaborative team-based environment.

For this specific position, you will have a leg up if you also meet the following criteria:

4+ years of overall development experience which ideally includes working with an object-oriented language (Java, node.js, Python).
Experience with using and implementing RESTful APIs and the Open API specification.
Experience with Facebook’s React framework would be a big plus.
Experience with one or more of the following databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Couchbase, MongoDB, Redis or other NoSQL technologies
Bachelors in Computer Science OR related technical discipline. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Any experience working on a public AWS platform or working with Docker containers would make a candidate stand out.

Interview process

Candidates will first speak with a member of our Talent Acquisition team, to get more information on the position and also what the fit can look like.

The next step will be to have a technically-focused phone interview with the hiring manager, and complete a few assessments. We like to do a screen share and walk through a coding exercise together.

Afterwards, the final step is to come onsite into one of our various offices where you will be potentially working at, and have some one-on-one discussions with key people with whom you'll be working with and influencing. If the match and fit is right, you can expect an offer!
