The Ally IT Team is looking for a Senior Technical Software Developer to join us in Charlotte, North
Carolina. In this role, you will innovate, develop, debug, measure, and analyze to build our next-
generation toolset around containers and microservices with other senior level development pros. You'll
influence the technology and design significant parts of the Ally integrated space. You will become a
next-gen Ally technical influencer, creating and delivering features and capabilities that help the Ally
customers & partners achieve their business and technical goals. As a Senior Technical Software
Developer. You'll be involved with upstream community projects and collaborate internally with other
Software Engineering teams to guide new feature use cases and integrations. You'll have a specific role
in defining feature requirements and architecture and in developing these from inception to inclusion
You are rock solid on your tech as you will be a core member of the team helping to drive direction
on design and implementation. You need to know the modern approaches as well as what doesn't
You have the API stack covered with all key modern languages under your belt. You're going to
have to get into all parts of the code, and of course implement a lot of it, so you will need to know
this stuff cold.
You will have a commanding knowledge of modern Software Engineering & Delivery practices,
you know... DevOps, TDD, Stateless Design, Microservices, Containerization, CI/CD, Object
Oriented Programming, Object Relation Mapping, Cloud Engineering, etc.
Strong writing and oral communication skills are an absolute must. You will be interfacing and
influencing your teammates, peers, vendors, and the business lines as well as others across our IT
We are clearly looking for someone with a strong understanding and hands-on experience with
implementation of tried and true, as well as, modern design patterns and architectural principles.
1+ years of Red Hat Fuse, AMQ, and Data Grid experience is an absolute must
At least 5 years of engineering quality middleware solutions using JEE (Spring Boot)
Familiarity with tools like Git, GitHub and pull requests, JIRA, Slack, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux,
and continuous integration (CI) systems
REST API Development experience with containerized microservices development and
DevOps automated pipeline experience using Red Hat OpenStack Platform
Technologies you should know and will be working with:
JBoss, Tomcat, Apache httpd, Maven, SoupUI, Jenkins
Strong database skills (Oracle)
Proficient with Git and version control
Experience integrating with third parties (i.e. Salesforce, FIS, Fiserv) is a plus
Strong Linux Admin and scripting (Red Hat Linux, Python)
Experience in Splunk, App Dynamics, Visual VM is a very strong plus
