Under general direction, works independently providing technical consulting on complex enterprise IT communications projects. Primary responsibilities include planning, designing, developing, documenting, and implementing new and upgraded enterprise communication infrastructure and systems. Top level technical expert in one or more highly specialized area of data and voice/video communications. Interfaces with vendors at a strategic level to develop requests for proposal, evaluates vendor products, and make recommendations on selections that fit with the strategic direction of Centura Health and its goals and mission. Provides highly skilled technical assistance and resolutions for network communication problems. Mentors and instructs all junior level IT Communications staff on a data/voice/video infrastructure for standard implementation ad support of new and existing infrastructure systems. Consults with all Centura associate’s facility managers/directors to develop solutions for problem resolution within the confines of Centura documented standards. Functions as a tier 3 resource for complex network support problems. Does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, although usually provides input to Manager on performance appraisal of junior team members.
