As the Senior Operations Specialist, you will be responsible to monitor, control, and recommend improvements to infrastructure performance in the areas of response, throughput, and availability; identified trends, root cause analysis, and prevention. As well as, maintain compliance by following established industry networking standards, procedures, and best practices. This is a great opportunity for you work at the leading edge of IS/IT to design, sustain, and deliver Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure in a large-scale network environment for all Nestlé North America locations.
Provides enterprise LAN design consultancy to Tier 1 through Tier 3 support teams, including North American market LAN Specialists
Identify and recommend infrastructure support tools, (i.e. Orion, Cisco DNA, Cisco Prime, Spectrum Analysis, and Service Assurance)
Overall understanding of Software Defined Network technologies and familiarity with Cisco Digital Network Architecture is highly desirable.
Supports network Application Programing Interfaces (API) coding through Python, JSON/XML, Bash, etc.
Ensures the delivery of efficient and secure IS/IT operations, supports IS/IT systems that fulfill the needs of the business, and provides input to the development team and tech lead as well as to peers responsible for other aspects of operations
Oversees the support processes that include incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management
Ensures IS/IT strategic service partners provide the required level of service, system performance and functionality required to meet business commitments
Supports market & project testing; supports specification, configuration & sustain activities and utilizes 3rd party services as directed
Participates in the assessment of external and internal technology capabilities with a focus on suitability for integration with the existing IS/IT operations environment
Runs small-scale projects (managed work activities) for the deployment of functionalities
Works with product or platform teams to ensure good coordination of IS/IT changes without impacting business processes
Works with supplier teams to ensure good coordination of product changes without impacting IS/IT consumers and business processes
Responsible for operational compliance of all technology-related issues across IS/IT including information security, privacy, business continuity, identity management, user access and data integrity
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
5 years minimum experience in IS/IT, preferably working in a DevOps environment
Expertise with Cisco Local Area Network (LAN) architecture deployment in Service Provider or Enterprise environments
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related study
Expertise of InfoSec concepts and Cisco ISE authorizations and authentication methodologies
Expertise in service management principles and execution
Expertise in Digital business platforms (APIs, software-defined, virtual data center, cloud, etc.)
Technical infrastructure knowledge and experience
Expertise in explaining technical concepts and technologies
Agile Methodology and/or Design Thinking experience
Project management experience
