The Role:

Kapsch TrafficCom North America is seeking a System Integration Engineer in Austin, TX. As part of the System Integration Team, you will work to deliver implementation of toll road solutions that process real-time and real-world sensor information into toll transactions and operations information. The systems are transaction-based, highly available and responsible for millions of micro-transactions per day. Our maintenance and reporting products are recognized as industry leaders.


Managing the entire testing cycle for multi-million tolling projects, tracing requirements from definition through factory, installation, commissioning, and operational test phases
Defining and creating all testing documentation (test plans, test suites, test cases and test reports).
Executing scripted scenarios at our test track (involving real vehicles.
Executing tests in live systems on the field at our customer’s sites (located in different states into the US.

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s Degree required. Bachelor’s in Computer Science strongly preferred, however we will also consider: Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics degrees.
2+ years of system testing experience.
Technical writing and communication skills are required including test documentation experience.
Advanced level proficiency in MS-Office (Word, Excel, and Visio)
Familiarity with programming languages (Python, Java, C, C++ or C#).
Familiarity with database technologies and SQL with preference in Oracle.
Familiarity with executing formalized test cycles.
Ability to travel up to 10% ; mainly in US.
Our top Candidates will have:

Experience with micro-transaction or financial systems.
Experience in RF System Design and/or test.
Experience with workflow-based systems.
Experience developing test automation.
Experience in any relevant programming language.
Familiarity with Linux.
Mathematical proficiency.
