Job Summary
Cosmic AES is looking for a Systems Test Engineer to support the Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Remote Sensing Directorate (RS).  The Remote Sensing Systems Directorate's (RS) mission is to develop, deploy, and sustain surveillance capabilities in support of missile warning, missile defense, battle space awareness, technical intelligence, and environmental monitoring.  Specifically, SMC/RS is responsible for the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) family of systems and the DoD Weather System.  OPIR programs include the Defense Support Program (DSP), the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS), SBIRS Follow-on, Wide Field of View (WFOV), and data exploitation initiatives.  Weather system programs include the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP), Weather System Follow-on (WSF), numerous technical demonstrations, and large civil/international/commercial stakeholders and engagements.  The candidate will support exploitation of data from these and other systems.  Additionally, the candidate will work directly with operators within the OPIR Battlespace Awareness Center (OBAC) at Buckley AFB, CO to provide enhancements to software.

Responsibilities and Duties
Application deployment and testing
Gathering data to facilitate testing of specific software features
Interfacing with operators for training and collecting feedback
Automating test-related tasks
Qualifications and Skills

US citizen, and must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
Experience with remote sensing, IR sensors, weather sensors, or radar sensors
Team player and capable of working in a fast-pasted, team environment
Red Hat Linux experience

Desired Qualifications
Background and/or education in software development and/or software testing
Experience with DevOps
Experience writing scripts in Bash, Python, or Ruby
Experience with Agile methodologies
Experience with virtual machines and Linux containers (e.g. Docker)
Experience developing with Java or Groovy
