The Program Manager for Dev.Build leads the initiative and other technology projects to meet an overall strategic goal or outcome. A Program Manager has the responsibility for the status of all projects within a program and may also be managing one or more of the projects within the program. Program Managers must be great communicators, tactful diplomats, problem solvers, thinkers and analyzers, and they must be able to understand and respond to clients' needs in rapidly changing business environments.
Develop and implement program goals and help plan each project’s deliverables to meet these goals
Help formulate and define project scope and objectives based on both team member and business needs
Work with leaders to allocate resources within their program(s)
Support project-level activity through strategic decision-making
Actively seek out information from the program team members regarding project status, issues and risks
Proactively identify and manage cross-project dependencies
Analyze business and user needs, then collect and prioritize requirements
Set and manage client expectations
Coordinate and drive internal and external communication, including leading regular client and project team meetings
Maintain a working knowledge of each stakeholder’s business area and tools
Identify solutions to support the needs of multiple stakeholders
Help develop and improve project standards, best practices and tools for project execution
Mentor software developers in training programs
Plan, organize, market and recruit for boot camp style programs
Help build requirements for curriculum within learning programs
Act as a liaison between internal and external training partners to build program content
Build a development plan and road map for programs
Proven ability to assess problems and solve them with a strong sense of urgency
Analytical and creative thinking skills
Experience leading and mentoring team members by acknowledging their contributions and mitigating risk/conflict within a team
Flexible during times of change
Demonstrated comfort and effectiveness in communicating with all levels within the organization
Demonstrated technical understanding of the software engineering role, the associated tools and systems, and how each impacts the business
Experience handling aggressive deadlines and juggling multiple responsibilities while managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project
Ability to promote the Quicken Loans culture, our technology philosophies and a culture of excellence within a team
Demonstrated success in collaborating with peers to achieve success across programs
Experience leading multiple related projects to achieve a strategic goal
Ability to speak in front of groups of people and get across concepts and ideas
Ability to mentor software developers through a training program
